Hello everyone,

I have a like new BrailleNote Apex that is from 2011, and all buttons, keys, and Braille cells function perfectly. The device currently has the latest KeySoft version available. I am looking for a Braille Display that is slightly better. If anyone is interested, please message me. Thanks.

Drop your price, don't be greedy, those focus displays are built in china and are not worth what they retail for. It's a well known scam of these big multi million dollar companies like FS. Your focus I'd sell for like maybe $250 if you're lucky. I'd consider maybe trading my Alva Satellite 584 pro 84 cell display that is brand new, for that apex in the box only used for demo purposes for a day. Has USB, serial and power cables, no scratches, original box and documentation. Won't find a display like this anywhere. New condition they sell for $1000 easily even though they are unsupported and do not have bluetooth, who walks around with a braille display attached to them working on their phone in their pocket anyway? Alva satellites are highly sought after because of their build construction and customization. They really are a dream to use, and I'm not so sure I'd really want to trade it for a braille note that has less than half the cells and is 6 years old. I'd list your apex for $500 I'm sure it'd sell if it is in great condition. Your target audience remember hardly has any money and if they are spending $500 they're likely spending months of savings for it. That's why you're not selling it because no blind person has thousands just laying around. Take this from experience. I know a good deal of blind folks get this equipment and pass it off to make a quick buck but you aren't the only one doing this and everyone is trying to sell their expensive stuff to each other but no one has any money so they're selling to an empty void. Tip: put it up on amazon. You may not sell it, but if you do you'll get probably more for it but you'll have to wait like 4 weeks to get your money. That said that's better then selling on ebay where they can just keep your money and you get screwed. I just left the blind bst list because I just got tired of people living in dream land charging out the ass for stuff that isn't worth what they're asking. A braille blazer for sale for $750? Are you serious? There's a blazer 25 minutes away from me right now for $50, who in their right mind would pay that kind of money? Right now I could buy it, turn around and sell it for $350 and make a killing because I know what this stuff is worth and I'm also not greedy. But then you have people that want something for nothing and are completely unrealistic. For this reason is why you are having a hard time selling your stuff. Take my advice and see what happens.

Buying expensive tech is not good business.
But, we need it, so you buy the best you can afford and use it happily.
Resale? Forget it. It is old soon as you unpack it.
Smile.

I am not selling it for much at all. Not sure why you thought I was charging a bunch for it.

What are you asking?

Hi, I ended up trading the BrailleNote for a Handy Tech ActiveStar Braille display. It automatically detects one's fingers, moving to the next line automatically. It was twice as much as what my BrailleNote was worth, but the person seems happy with the BN.
Thanks.
